Michael Valenuela is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and passionate DJ, producer, and graduate of MediaTech’s Recording Arts Associate Degree program. With a lifelong love of music inspired by his stepdad, Michael taught himself piano, guitar, and cello before pursuing formal training. After attending other schools that fell short, he found his home at MediaTech, where hands-on studio time, expert instruction, and a diverse creative community helped him elevate his craft. A year and a half after graduating, he enrolled in MediaTech’s online Beat Making program to continue building his skills, using the last of his GI Bill benefits. Today, he DJs weddings, produces original tracks, and continues to push forward in music and audio — putting everything he learned at MediaTech to work.

With facilities available for both music production and film production, MediaTech Institute became home for Will, and after his education with us, he graduated as a proud valedictorian. As of now, he has found success in TV, after working on the fifth season of the popular TV show “Love after Lockup”.
I graduated in 2010 with a recording arts degree when that was all that was offered at the Houston campus. It has helped me in my current career by being the building blocks that have lead me to go on tour and be a successful touring technician for big to small tours/shows. You definitely get out what you put in.
Amazing place to learn the art of recording music! I'm so glad to be a student there getting my audio engineering certificate.. Great instructors, brilliant multi-million dollar studio with state of the art equipment. Highly recommend.

Our creative arts campus is located in Dallas. Because we work with real projects, every one of our facilities has industry-standard equipment, learning spaces, and resources for our students. As a result, you use the same tools here that you will use in your career.
