Instructor Spotlight – Natasha Paris

by | Feb 8, 2024

MediaTech Institute couldn’t do what we do without our amazing staff. A very important part of our Film and Video production program is this month’s superstar instructor, Natasha Paris. Paris is a valuable addition to the MTI culture as a Music Video Production and Screenwriting teacher. Not only is she an award winning screenwriter and director, but over the course of career she has worked in many crew positions like 1st AD, UPM, script supervisor, and so on. MediaTech is proud to know all of her experience is shared directly with the students that have the pleasure of taking her classes.

Her passion for the film industry began as a teenager, as she wanted to be a screenwriter. Paris did not take that passion lightly, self teaching herself rigorously by writing thirty feature screenplays until seeking a screenwriting education at a university.

Natasha takes her extensive experience in production and love for her craft; infusing her classes with the first person knowledge she’s gained through working many roles and self-producing a plethora of projects. Paris’ career has brought her close to stars like Christopher Plummer and Susan Sarandon while working for the production company BBR Productions. The experiences she had working with companies like this allowed for her to self produce, write, and direct award winning shorts like “Something Borrowed, Someone Blue” from 2017, and “Solitude” from 2001. Her credits go far beyond what we can spotlight in this month’s feature.

Now Natasha works at MediaTech Institute, changing the lives and minds of our student body. Other MediaTech staff only have positive things to say about Natasha Paris’ contributions to the school. Wes Martin, MTI’s Managing Director is quoted as saying, “I love having Natasha teach our students here at MediaTech!  Everytime I pass by her in the hall or see her in the classroom she is always smiling, full of energy and ready to help anyone who wants to learn.  It is evident she is passionate about teaching and loves the students.  Just the other day I had one of her Music Video students come to my office shouting “I made my first music video!  I love this place!!”  We are incredibly blessed to have someone with her background and experience here to teach our students at MediaTech Institute”.

Our staff makes dreams come true, and we are proud to spotlight their contributions to our past, current, and potential Film and Video Production students. Check out what MTI can do for your future today!
