Dr. Wendy N. Jasper joins MediaTech with a combined 33-years as a Higher Education, Public Service and Music Industry Executive. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice-Police Science from Sam Houston State University, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Tarleton State University. 

Dr. Jasper’s higher education experience includes being a Director of Academic Affairs, Manager of Compliance and Accreditation, Manager of a Law Enforcement Academy and Professor of Criminal Justice for public colleges. All of these positions have required a clear understanding of all federal and state oversight agencies, accreditation agencies and the Texas Workforce Commission. She also has extensive experience in public service roles like law enforcement, corrections and children’s services. She is a certified Instructor licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and enjoys teaching in-service sessions for existing law enforcement officers. Her published Doctoral Dissertation focuses on the career and technical programs offered in colleges and universities. She also has several years of experience in law enforcement and corrections supervision and training.

Dr. Jasper began her music journalism career while in high school and college and continues participating in various music industry activities. She has spent several years working as a feature writer and photographer for outlets like and Rivethead Magazine. Additionally, she owns Ritual Management & PR, a small, niche public relations and management firm that creates campaigns for U.S. Black Metal, Heavy Metal, and Punk bands. Her current clients are Blood Stained Dusk (Black Metal) and 2nd Place Band (Punk).  Her journalism work includes comprehensive media coverage of national and international recording artists, tours, album releases and coverage of festivals. Artists that Dr. Jasper has consistently covered include Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Motley Crue, Doro Pesch/Warlock, Murder FM, As Strange As Angels, Sanctuary, Nevermore, ZLotZ, Midnight Circus, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Trixter, Slaughter, Lizzy Borden, Nightwish, Slayer, Incantation, Mayhem, Great White, Willie Nelson, George Strait, the Devastation on the Nation Touring packages, The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Tour, and many more. 

Her lifelong passion for education and music has led her to MediaTech where she can combine her love of both and create a comprehensive learning environment for students who have the same passion for music, film and the arts that she does. She currently lives in Houston with her son, Jenssen Rivera. Like his mom, he shares a great love for music and is a published singer/songwriter himself. He is the founder, vocalist and guitarist for 2nd Place Band.
