Songwriting Techniques builds on the foundational knowledge gained in Music Theory & Production (MUSP 1331), offering students advanced skills in crafting compelling and memorable songs. This course focuses on the art and science of songwriting, covering topics such as lyric writing, melody development, and song structure. Through hands-on labs, students will develop their own songs, analyze hit compositions, and explore techniques to enhance their creativity and marketability as songwriters.
