Telea Stafford is an adjunct professor at MediaTech with long experience in consumer and corporate communications, cause marketing, and community outreach.
As Founder and President of Phenixx Marketing & Media, she oversees the daily brand development and strategic direction for the agency. Brands she has successfully managed include Match.com (launch), Dr Pepper, Miller Brewing, Taco Bell, Frito Lay, North Texas Tollway Authority, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Special Olympics and The Coordinating Board of Education.
Telea earned a 1994 BA in Marketing from Texas Tech University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas in 2003. She believes in service and academic advancement, and has served in various capacities with Texas Tech and other organizations for the past 20 years. The list includes Texas Tech University Foundation Board, The Texas Tech Alumni Association (Board of Directors), Founding Member Texas Tech Club, The School of Mass Communications (Board of Directors), Special Olympics Dallas, UNT Alumni Association (Board), the Innovation Hub Mentor and Entrepreneur Alumni Chapter (Board of Directors). She is a member of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Chamber of Commerce and the Black Chamber of Commerce.
Telea’s an avid cyclist and writer (recent: The Cure for the Common Culture), has three daughters and resides in Dallas, Texas. Some of her most recent achievements are Quest for Success Winner, Dallas Chamber of Commerce and Outstanding Alumni for both Texas Tech and UNT.
