MediaTech enters the ’24 Hour Video Race’ for the 4th year!

The 24 Hour Video Race is a fun filmmaking competition in which teams of video makers have 24 hours to write, shoot, edit and score an original short film. The 2012 24-Hour Video Race started at the Dallas Angelika Film Center on Friday, May 4th 2012 with a theme, prop, location and line of dialogue assignment for the film. The race concludes 24 hours later with a sprint to the finish line back at the Angelika. MediaTech graduate Cory Parker will be screening his first short film, “Immortal Infection” on Dec. 3rd. in the theatre at MediaTech Institute. The show starts at 9p.m.   “Immortal Infection”, is a short film about a doctor that falls for a man that others in the town fear may be a vampire. She is tormented by another doctor who claims to be a vampire hunter, as he warns her of the dangers, but also wants her for himself.   This is Cory’s first film as writer, producer and director, among all the other jobs that go with creating a film. MediaTech’s 201 Film class submits video for Doritos: “Crash the Superbowl” commercial contest!

Mediatech’s 201 Digital Film Class in Dallas has produced and entered a video for the Doritos “Crash the Superbowl” contest. The video is titled “Robot Spider V2” which is now available to view in the contest gallery. The winner will get to work with The Lonely Island (Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Shcaffer), get their commercial spot scene by millions, and if that’s not enough, they are throwing in million dollars!!
